Women’s Centre Childcare Service

Our new state of the art childcare facility is now opened and utilised fully. We have space to cater for up to 50 children on a part-time basis or 25 fulltime, with three generous-sized rooms offering bright and airy places for the children. There are two dedicated sleep rooms plus a multi-purpose room to allow for small group activities. The outside play area is enclosed on all sides and large enough to allow the children to run around. This mainly supports the women attending the Community Education programmes in the center but we also strive to support the childcare needs of women who are progressing onto further education programmes and employment.

In keeping with the ethos of the rest of the Centre the childcare center aims to promote equality and children are encouraged to have an active role in the activities they engage in and are consulted at all times. We are open all year and also run a summer programme in June and July. We cater for children from six months to eight years.
